Review: Singapore Sling by Grassroots
It’s been almost a year and a half since I sampled product from Grassroots. In that time, the brand has introduced several new strains to its catalog. I recently stopped at Curaleaf Deerfield to pick up one of the new cultivars, Singapore Sling, to review.
Singapore Sling is a hybrid cross of Creamsicle and Tiki Cookies. This batch of flower tested at 0.372% THC, 18.3% THCa, and 21.1% total cannabinoids. Rounded popcorn-sized buds carried an olive base tone with deep-purple sugar-leaf pieces clinging on. Milky trichomes dotted the surface, while pale orange hairs had dried, curling into each flower. While the sugar-leaf remnants had taken on a crunchy dryness, the flowers themselves carried a hashy greasiness that transferred to my fingertips as I was breaking them down.

The aroma in the jar was strong and sharp, blending notes of lime, grapefruit, bergamot, and sweet pickle over warmer undertones of cedarwood, roasted nuts, and wet soil. The under notes of cedar and roasted nuts moved to the front of profile on the palate with hints of grapefruit and sweet pickle appearing near the finish, but only as light hints. The entire profile had a very clean finish with no lingering presence post exhale.
Singapore Sling was instantly uplifting, boosting my mood to an optimistic positivity, while unleashing wave after wave of compounding euphoric tingles throughout my body. The positive mood was joined by a boost of productivity and motivation that lasted well into the next hour, putting Singapore Sling solidly in our Work Sativa category. The mental clarity outlasted the physical tingles, keeping me focused well past the hour mark.
