Review: Sour Pineapple Gummies by InHouse
Fast-acting edibles provide a completely different experience compared to traditional edibles and deserve a category all their own. MariMed imprint label InHouse has released its own line of fast-acting gummies. I recently stopped at Thrive Anna to pick up a pack of Sour Pineapple Gummies to review.
InHouse Sour Pineapple Gummies come as a 10-pack of gummies with 10mg of THC per piece. Each gummy was a pale-yellow color with a light-sugar coating that further lightening the appearance. Just under an inch across and a quarter inch thick, each circular gummy had a light score line across the center, allowing for some flexibility and precision in dosing. Soft with a slightly tacky chew, the candies put up almost no resistance to the teeth.

There were three distinct layers in the flavor profile. At the front, a sharp acidic bite shocked the taste buds. This was followed by a strong, sweet pineapple note that walked the line between natural and artificial. The finish was herbal with green notes of fresh cannabis leaves and a bitterness that disappeared quite quickly.
Under normal circumstances, these gummies went to work within 10 minutes, but they could provide a head change in as few as five minutes when consumed on an empty stomach. My headspace became slightly dazed and detached, and an introspective and calm mood took over. Heavier in the arms and chest than anywhere else, a wave of weighted pressure wiped away some of my muscle soreness as it peaked. Fast in both onset and offset, the buzz peaked within 30 minutes, and the entire experience was done within 90 minutes.
The ingredients were glucose syrup, granulated sugar, pectin, sodium hydrogen malate, citric acid, natural flavor, cannabis oil, tapioca starch, sunflower oil, and potato starch. For more Illinois cannabis industry news, subscribe to Illinois News Joint’s newsletter here.
