Review: Strange Money Disposable Vape by Dabstract
Washington label Dabstract has been bringing carts and disposables to Illinois menus for more than a year now. For this review I picked up the Dabstract Strange Money Disposable Vape.
Strange Money is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Chem De La Chem and (Money Pugs Life x Red Headed Stranger). This blended live-resin vape tested at 0.16% CBD, 0.16% CBDa, 55.87% THC, 15.49% THCa, and 74.4% total cannabinoids.
The Dabstract hardware stood 4-inches tall and almost an inch wide. A stark-white Dabstract-branded battery and mouthpiece were separated by a chunky branded glass tank filled with a fast-moving honey colored oil and a thick stainless steel coil. There was a USB-C port at the bottom and a white indicator light that activated when the pen was hit but no settings or buttons. A simple hit to activate mechanism produced dense, thick clouds of vapor.
Initially, the flavor was sweeter than expected with top end notes of sweet lemon peel, cherry, and pear creating a short lived Runtz style candy note before a much more dense combination of diesel fuel, cut cedar, cinnamon, motor oil, wildgrass, and sweet basil replaced them. The savory tones stuck to the palate with the diesel, oil, wildgrass, and basil clinging to the tongue and the air for a couple minutes after each session. The dense vapor provided by the hardware created an impactful pull every time.
Strange Money was listed as a sativa but landed as a center-spectrum hybrid. A single hit reliably shifted my headspace towards a lighter, more spacious place, while multi-rip sessions brought on a more complete mood and body shift. My focus sharpened as my running thoughts slowed, and my baseline anxieties fell away. A tingling, almost electric sensation moved up my spine initially, but as the effects peaked, this rounded into warming muscle relaxation concentrated in my core.
