Chicago NORML is scheduled to host its 2025 Elevate and Advocate Gala from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11. The Gala is set to bring individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures together to celebrate the growing acceptance of mindful cannabis consumption and the diverse businesses, organizations, and individuals contributing to Illinois’ legal cannabis ecosystem.

Produced by High Minded Events, the Elevate and Advocate Gala will be at The Penthouse Hyde Park, located at 5107 S Blackstone Ave. in Chicago. Tickets can be purchased here.

According to Chicago NORML, this year’s honorees include Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry, Chairman of the Cook County Cannabis Commission, who helped launch Cook County’s $4 million cannabis grant program in 2024 to support equity-focused businesses, and nationally recognized attorney Bryna Dahlin, partner and chair of the Cannabis Industry Group at Benesch, where she advises companies nationwide on regulatory compliance, business strategy, and brand protection.
