Review: Strawberry Lemonade Gems by Bedford Grow
Earlier in the year Bedford Grow launched three Gems flavors, including Rum Runner, Cranberry Mandarin, and Lavender Honey flavors. Later in the year Bedford Grow released Strawberry Lemonade Gems. Sunday, the Strawberry Lemonade Gems won the High Times People’s Choice 2021 Cannabis Cup’s top prize for best edibles (gummies). I picked up a sample from Springfield Maribis a couple months ago.
The glass container of Gems included five gummies. Each gummy, which was larger than other tradition gummies, contained 20mg of THC. The ingredients (sugar, corn syrup, water, natural flavoring, gelatin, citric acid, cannabis oil, cornstarch, and potassium sorbate) delivered the expected texture of a chewable gelatin-based gummy.

Once opened, the gems in the glass jar delivered a pungent strawberry and cherry aroma with citrus notes. It reminded me of mixing strawberry Kool-Aid with homemade lemonade. These Strawberry Lemonade Gems were chewier than the earlier review.
The flavor delivered a strong sweet strawberry flavor with hints of lemon citrus on the front and back end. Usually, I feel the effect of edibles earlier than others. But as with the earlier Gems review, I had to wait for a longer onset for the effects to kick in. For some reason, Bedford Grow edibles energized me for at least the first half of the buzz and gave me more of a cerebral high than other gummies.

Late in the effects, the energy eventually wanes, and the body buzz becomes effective for late-night relaxation, television binging, and music listening. In addition, I was able to have a good night’s sleep after dozing each time.
Overall, the Strawberry Lemonade Gems were what I come to expect from Bedford Grow in-house made gummies: flavorful, great effects, and consistent doses.
