Review: Tangie Berry by Kaviar
For more than a decade, I have harbored a deep affinity for strains with a heavy tangerine flavor profile. My fond memories of purchasing Tangie and Orange Bud in the nascent stages of Colorado’s legalization have persisted, and I’ve remained devoted to seeking out citrus-heavy strains ever since. Recently, while perusing Star Buds Burbank’s menu, I was immediately drawn to Kaviar’s Tangie Berry, and couldn’t resist giving it a try.
Tangie Berry is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Dreadyberry and Tangerine Dream. This batch of flower tested at 0.249% THCVa, 23.246% THCa, 0.614% Delta 9 THC, 0.309% CBCa, 1.136% CBGa, 0.190% CBG, and 25.746% total cannabinoids.

Tangie Berry’s foxtail flowers were slim and elongated, with a strikingly vivid turf green hue and equally bold-orange hairs woven throughout the bud. While the trichome frost was not particularly heavy, it formed small pockets of stark-white milky concentration.
The aroma of Tangie Berry presented a juxtaposition of sweet and sour notes, featuring the scents of candied orange blossom, lemon, and blackberry, culminating in a distinct vinegar note on the finish. Additionally, earthy undertones of cedar and soil lent a sense of depth to the overall profile. On the palate, the flavors of candied orange and cedar were most prominent.
Tangie Berry was an “aimless sativa,” providing an energetic and stimulating effect, yet leaving the mind unfocused and scattered. This energetic mindspace wasn’t a good fit for work, but I found it nice for romping around with the kiddos or spending time with friends.
Throughout the experience, the physical euphoric waves were mild and gentle, never becoming overwhelming, and providing a light sensation in both the core and arms. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
