Review: The Glove by nuEra
By Chris Barry
In the past, I’ve paid big bucks for “premium” flower only to be disappointed that the flower wasn’t so premium after all. I recently dropped by Zen Leaf in Aurora and picked up an eighth of nuEra’s high-end flower, the Glove, for review, and I wasn’t let down.
This sativa-leaning strain is a cross between the “Y” and “Snowman” and is named after NBA great Gary Payton, who was known as “The Glove.” This batch tested in at 25.594% THCa, 1.056% CBGa, and 26.650% total cannabinoids.

When I popped open the glass jar, I was blown back by the sweet, slightly grape-ish and pine fragrance that jumped out of the container. The jar contained seven large-to-popcorn size flowers that were frosty with trichomes. Under a magnifying glass, the buds were milky white with defined crystallization with red hairs poking through a forest of snowy frost and lime-green variations. Bud texture was dense but not overly dry or sticky and was easy to grind.
When I consumed this rolled in a cone, the flavor turned more earthy and nutty leaving an almond aftertaste. The inhalation was smooth. The effects were almost immediate with a de-stressing euphoria washing over me, coupled with an almost immediate sense of inner focus. While I wouldn’t use this during my workday, The Glove made sense as an early evening burn, where unwinding from the stress of the day is key. The buzz lasted a good hour plus, then settled into a relaxing physical state that eventually led to a great night’s sleep.
