Review: Toe Jam by Revolution
I’m still a sucker for a good strain name. Revolution’s Toe Jam is a perfect case in point. It’s eye catching, playful, and fun. I picked up from Revolution Normal an eighth of Toe Jam to review.
Toe Jam is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of Gorilla’d Cheese and (Raspberry Bellini and Slaps). This batch of flower tested at 0.43% THC, 26.45% THCa, and 27.71% total cannabinoids.

Turf green buds still carried some forest-green sugar leaf pieces, notably thick fire-orange hairs, and a visible layer of solidly milky trichomes brightening the overall-color profile. Spongy, with a lively bounce back under a pinch, these buds still carried some stickiness at the center while the outside left a greasy hash sensation on my fingers. Easy to spin through the grinder, the buds produced a light fluffy grind.
The aroma carried two distinct layers. A funky top end carried notes of aged cheddar, warm ale, tangy diesel, and wet slate that hit my nose as soon as I cracked the jar. Beneath this top layer lighter and sweeter tones of cherry, pear, and mixed berries helped to create a light and slightly refreshing finish. On the palate, the cheese really blossomed as the most impactful flavor, outcompeting the diesel and slate to dominate the opening. The sweet berry tones still held a spot, yet again making for an easy-going and light finish.

Toe Jam was fast acting with a boost to my mood and energy levels hitting less than five minutes after smoking. Talkative and cheerful but with a notable lack of focus, the strain was a good fit for socializing more than anything else. The physical come up was as fast as the mental shift and initially overwhelmed me with a wave of racy tingling that lifted my heart rate before rounding out to an all-over euphoric tingle. Toe Jam paired a true uplifting sativa buzz with a surprisingly funky aroma.
