Review: Triangle Irene by Sol Canna
In conjunction with the 2nd Annual Illinois Craft Showcase, set for 12-6 p.m. Aug. 16, we’ve published a Know Your Brand feature on Sol Canna and reviewed one of three strains, Wedding Fritter, I picked up from The Dispensary Champaign. For the second strain, I reviewed Triangle Irene.
Triangle Irene is a 50/50% hybrid cross of Triangle Kush and Irene. This batch tested at 26.975% THCa, 1.472% D9-THC, and 29.123% total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included b-myrcene, limonene, b-caryophyllene, and linalool with 2.537% total terpenes.

This eighth came as a one large cola and several thumb-sized buds covered in milky trichomes. The light and dark green buds were dense and had a bounce back when squeezed. The aroma filled the pouch with herbal, earthy, pine, and sour gas. The flavor followed with a classic heavy kush, leading with herbal, earthy, pine, and added notes of spicy citrus and sour diesel on the back end of the exhale.
The effects leaned more toward a Work Sativa than hybrid. The fast-acting head high was strong but clear with focus and energy. My boosted mood became more upbeat, positive, and motivated. Triangle Irene carried a heavier indica-like body buzz that also was fast acting and came on in waves of what felt like pressure releases. The body buzz, though heavy, allowed me to function physically without couchlock. I was able to dose early day, afternoon, and evening for work, play, or socialization.
