Vape carts are one of the most saturated categories on the market with every MSO producing a line and even more dedicated vape labels still coming to market. Unlike some craft brands, this heavy competition hasn’t deterred Cannect Wellness from releasing distillate and live resin carts right out of the gate. I picked up a V-Spec Live Resin Vape Cart by Cannect Wellness at Consume Carbondale to review.

V-Spec is a hybrid cross of G6 Jet Fuel (Oakland Cut) and (Topanga Canyon OG and Original Diesel BX1). This vape tested at 19.239% THCa, 63.570% THC, and 82.809% total cannabinoids.

The hardware was intensely familiar, a glass tank/metal coil cartridge with a black Cannect branded band at the base and a black ceramic mouthpiece. Inside was a viscous and transparent deep-amber oil slowly released small bubbles after each long hit. The flavor remained consistent from start to finish, even running the cart through several voltage settings.

The flavor was a wide-reaching blend, initially sweet and floral, with notes of melon, grapefruit, orange blossom, lavender, and candied berries creating the top half with a mix of heavy cream, diesel, and fresh cut pine wood coming through on the finish. While these two waves of flavor were distinct from each other, the flavor notes within seemed to blend into each other, taking some time to pick apart and identify. The V-Spec profile was sticky, especially for a vape, leaving hints of melon, grapefruit, and pine behind.

A calm set in immediately, bringing down my baseline anxiety but leaving my energy and focus intact. A couple more hits brought on a wave of physical pressure starting in my chest and slowly radiating outward. Functional all the way through but still strong enough to keep my mind peaceful in the face of a stressful day, V-Spec struck as a true middle road hybrid. The physical pressure built as the experience peaked, becoming heavier all over muscle relaxation that slowed me down a bit on the back end. Overall, V-Spec was a very flavorful vape cart with an anytime effect profile.
