Review: Wilson! Zero by matter.
By @Medsforheads
PharmaCann is introducing some fresh genetics into its matter. brand’s strain portfolio, including this Wilson! Zero I grabbed from Verilife River North.
Wilson! Zero is an indica-leaning cross of (Banana OG x Papaya) x Tropicana Cookies F1 that first made waves in the Los Angeles area with its uniquely “squeaky” essence and heavy yet euphoric cerebral buzz. According to the label, the flower’s total terpene content was 1.5%, with b-myrcene, limonene, and b-caryophyllene leading the breakdown in nearly equal measure.

This flower was quite different qualitatively from what I have previously seen by Pharmacann, from the dense sticky buds with intense purple coloration to the smell of Banana Boat sunscreen wafting out of the Mylar bag. It also had a lower moisture content than I was accustomed to during the brand’s pull-tab can era, which I believe contributed to a richer and more even burn as it crumbled nearly to a powder after just one grinder rotation.
Fresh leather, cookie spice, and creamy banana made up Wilson! Zero’s flavor profile, laced over a background of sour Tangie and Papaya mire. The smoke itself was full-bodied and left a lingering feeling in the chest, albeit an almost negligible one.

Enjoyed exclusively on days off, I appreciated this strain as a tool to organize scattered thoughts and mentally check out from regular stressors. Smoking joints of the 25% THCa Wilson! Zero felt like trying to stand up in the ocean at high tide with waves crashing over my head and the current pulling my feet out from under me.
As an unexpected side effect that further contributed to the beachy motif of my experience with this hybrid eighth, I found my sensitivity to light increased, giving the neighborhood blocks I meandered a sun-splashed glow.
