Our next Medical Patient Homegrown Review comes from John Grow #11. John Grow #11 recently harvested Orange Icee V2 by Honest Genetics. He not only grew the Orange Icee V2 but he also turned some of his flower into rosin. So for this review, we are pleased to spotlight another form of medicine that patients are making at home.

Orange Icee V2 is a 50/50 hybrid cross of Blue Hurricane #27 and Orange Whip F3. Tested at Higher Harvest in Bloomington, this flower came in at 20% THC. Flowering time for Orange Icee V2 is 8-9 weeks for light green buds with bright orange pistils.

The bud’s aroma hit with citrus, skunky chem, dough, and earthy pine. The flavor similarly   matched of the smell with sweet citrus and chemmy kush on the inhale. The exhale hit with a sweet cookie dough that often finished with a creamy caramel. The back notes included hops, cinnamon, sour pine, and floral.

The potent effects started with a quick onset cerebral high that settled heavy in the lower head. The head high was relatively heavy but smooth and continually put me in a good mood-elevating frame of mind. The body buzz slowly set in and became heavier with each doze. The headspace and body relaxation paired well together.

John Grow #11 squished the Orange Icee V2 flower into rosin through a 90u bag at 190° on his 4-ton press. The effects of the rosin were similar with a stronger more energetic start the fell harder than the flower. The flavor of the rosin added a sweet funk and earthy tones to the citrus and chemmy kush.

Orange Icee V2 were the first seeds John Grow #11 purchased. He waited until he had some growing experience under my belt to finally pop them. He started with four seeds in 1-gallon pots, and around week 4, he topped each one.

He sexed them out as two males and two females. Out of the two females, he cloned them then grew them out and chose this pheno for the bud structure, high, and terps.
