Review: Yuzu Sour Preroll by Swift Lifts
As noted in a recent review, Verano has offered multi-packs of smaller format prerolls under the Swift Lifts moniker for years. Recently, however, they spun the name out into its own standalone label. Since every dedicated preroll brand needs a solid one-gram flagship, I stopped by Ash and Ivy in Benton to pick up the 1g Yuzu Sour preroll.
Yuzu Sour is a hybrid cross of Sour Tangie and EZ Bake. This preroll tested at 0.056% CBDa, 0.805% THC, 29.684% THCa, and 32.74% total cannabinoids. This cone-style preroll came in unbleached paper with a Swift Lifts-branded crutch. Just over three and a half inches long with a tightly tucked tip, this preroll was notably dense. The flower inside was a deep-forest green with a very fine grind throughout.

The scent inside the tube alongside a few dry pulls provided a blend of tangy and sweet with specific notes of lime zest, orange flesh, watermelon, and fresh-cut wild grass at the top. Underneath this fruity opening, sour notes of hot diesel created a sharp finish on the nose. Lighting the joint introduced a surprising creamy tone that worked alongside the fruit to mimic fresh sherbet. Further down the preroll, the gassy and earthy Kush-style funk took the lead. Despite the complex and layered profile, the smoke had little staying power, disappearing from the palate with the exhale.
Labeled as a hybrid, Yuzu Sour provided a surprisingly heady up-front rush of mental energy that boosted my mood while leaving me pleasantly distracted. The physical profile was much slower building, progressively relaxing my muscles across roughly 30 minutes. The optimistic but unfocused headspace was great for playing with the kids or general day off fun.
