Vermilion County Farm Bureau is scheduled to host an Industrial Hemp Farmer Informational Event starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 16 at the Farm Bureau Auditorium, 1905-C US Route 150, Danville (at Henning Road).

Vermilion County Farm Bureau is set to host IH RISE to inform attendees about the industrial hemp industry. Discussions will focus on various aspects of the industry, including available resources, recent developments, hemp varieties, planting specifics, and crop insurance. IH RISE is a nonprofit promoting industrial hemp as a catalyst for food security, regenerative agriculture, and rural infrastructure for Illinois is helping inform hemp farmers, landowners, and agricultural professionals through free monthly educational events across Illinois.
