Sunnyside opens adult use only dispensary in Schaumburg
At 11:30 a.m. today, Cresco Labs will open a new adult use only dispensary in the parking lot of Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.
The retail store at 1735 East Golf Road is in the commercial building adjacent to Firestone tire shop and directly next to MOD Pizza.
Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, seven days a week.
Mayor of Schaumburg Tom Dailly, Illinois State Representative Michelle Mussman, and Cresco Labs Chief Communications Officer Jason Erkes will be there to celebrate the grand opening and ceremonial ribbon-cutting event. The public is invited to attend.
With more than 11,500 square feet of space, Sunnyside Schaumburg is Illinois’ largest dispensary and will employ 40 people.
Sunnyside Schaumburg has put numerous safety protocols in place to allow inside a maximum of 30 customers, who will pick up orders placed online. The space can accommodate 75 shoppers at a time on a normal day.
Adult-use customers can place online orders browsing live inventory through Sunnyside.shop and pick up orders in-store. Sunnyside Schaumburg requires the public, including customers and media, to wear masks and practice responsible social distancing.
Sunnyside Schaumburg has 27 flower options from six different Illinois cultivators.
The store will also offer pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, vapes, beverages, tinctures, capsules, and topicals.
Employing a consumer-packaged goods (“CPG”) approach to cannabis, Cresco’s house of brands includes Cresco, Remedi and Mindy’s, a line of edibles created by James Beard Award-winning chef Mindy Segal.
Sunnyside is Cresco Labs’ national retail brand, and its brand products are grouped into three benefits to get customers through the day: Rise (sativa), Refresh (hybrid), and Rest (indica).
Of 11 adult-use dispensaries in the state, Cresco owns and operates four locations in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, Danville, South Beloit, and Schaumburg.
Cresco’s other operational Sunnyside medical dispensaries are located in Wrigleyville Chicago, Elmwood Park, Buffalo Grove, Rockford, and Champaign.
