UIUC to host Hemp Research Open House
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is scheduled to host a 2022 UIUC Hemp Research Open House that free and open to public.
The Open House is set for 9-12 a.m. July 8 and July 9. The event will be hosted at the UIUC Fruit Farm located at 2711 South Race Street in Urbana.
Dr. Dokyoung (D.K.) Lee, who is the crop sciences professor and director of online masters programs at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, put together the event to showcase UIUC, its hemp program, and hemp studies.
Attendees will be able to visit the breeding nursery, variety trails, agronomic trails, for large-scale production, and grow facility for small-scale production. Attendees can also experience pruning and cloning while networking and having fun.
