Carbondale to host Hemp, Hops, & Shrooms festival
The City of Carbondale is scheduled to host the 4th Annual Hemp, Hops, & Shrooms festival from 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Downtown Entertainment and Events Plaza. Hemp, Hops, & Shrooms is a free collaborative event that offers educational presentations, local food, live music, a fermentation tent, and more than 20 artists and vendors.
Exhibitor space and sponsorships are still available. To sign up to vend, email festival planners at eseanti@carbondalemainstreet.com. The annual event is open to all ages and is set to host presentations and demonstrations from 3-6 p.m. Vending runs from 3-9 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. with Sturg & Friends. Colt Ball & The Git Down is set to play from 7:30-9 p.m.
BYOB and enjoy highlights on various research projects from the Southern Illinois University Cannabis Science Center and the SIUC Fermentation Science Institute. Connect and learn about cannabis, fermentation, and adaptogenic and psilocybin mushrooms.
