Review: Chicago Runtz by Cronja
I’m back with more Cronja flower from my last pickup. After reviewing the Illemonati and Melted Cherries, I sampled next the Chicago Runtz.
Chicago Runtz is a hybrid cross of Red Pop and Runtz. This batch tested at 32.605% THCa, 0.921% THC, and 34.095% total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included limonene, β-myrcene, trans-β-ocimene, and linalool, with 1.826% total terpenes.

The 2-gram pouch contained several dense medium-sized buds that were light and dark green with purple splotches throughout and a heavy milky-white trichome coverage. The aroma hit with a sweet candy, sour fruit, and tart berries with slight back notes of earthy pine. The flavor delivered a candied fruit, sweet berries medley, and cream on the inhale with notes of earthy spice, pine, kush, and sour raspberry on the exhale.
Chicago Runtz’ effects landed in the hybrid spectrum with an uplifting cerebral head high to start the buzz that leveled out to a clearheaded-carefree feeling. The body buzz crept in later with a floating sensation that transitioned late into muscle and joint relaxation. Late in the buzz, the overall high became more sedative mentally and physically. Overall, Chicago Runtz was a strain for the sweet-fruit flavor chasers looking for a hybrid effects for evening and early night doses.
