Homegrown Review: Cappuccino x Trainwreck by John Grow #29
The more time medical patients spend growing their own medicine, it seems, the more likely they’ll eventually breed their own plants. John Grow #14 is back with another strain he created specifically for his own medical needs. It’s a sativa cross of Cappuccino and Trainwreck [Espresso X Project 4516] x [(Mexican and Thai sativa) x (Afghani indica)].
The large buds display natural foxtails with dark green, olive, and brown colors and a heavy coating of trichomes. The aroma delivers a sweet cocoa, hot chocolate, cream front with a citrus background. The flavor matches with heavy hot chocolate, cream, and cocoa powder that’s balanced with sweet and sour citrus back notes, especially on the exhale.
The effects fall into our Work Sativa series with a strong, creative, energetic, clearheaded and cerebral head high, right out of the gate. The intensity of the head high levels out when the strong body buzz kicks in. The effects are still energetic, motivating and cerebral but with a body buzz that counterweights any raciness. The body buzz builds slowly until in its full “heavy blanket” effects that relaxes joints, muscles, and reduces inflammation.
