Homegrown Review: Meat Breath by John Grow #8
John Grow #8 is back with another popular strain. His last homegrown strain reviews included Mac #1 and Wedding Cake. Now, John Grow #8 brings us Meat Breath. Grown from a clone, Meat Breath is a heavy indica-dominant cross of Mendo Breath and Meatloaf, a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype, from ThugPug Genetics.
Meat Breath has crazy bag appeal with trichome-covered fat buds with contrasting greens and purples. The pungent smell quickly fills a room with sweet, gas, pine, floral, spice, and earthy zest to combine for an overall funk.

The flavor follows the aroma with an amalgamation of sweet dough, pine, spice, diesel, citrus, and overall funk on the inhale. The exhale is filled with earthy zest, pine, citrus, gas, and wood. The overall funk taste lingers.
Meat Breath is a heavy hitter. The onset is almost immediate. The mood-lifting head high starts with an overall tingle, and about time the buzz settles in the crown of the head, the heavy body buzz kicks in for an overall relaxation and appetite boost.

The body buzz drags along the head high into a heavier relaxation, and both become tiresome and often used for late evening and nighttime medication.
“I started growing my own medicine to help with my medical condition but also to learn how to grow quality medicine,” John Grow #8 said. “Growing at home has been an amazing learning experience, and a very rewarding hobby. I’m just so grateful that the state of Illinois has finally given people access to cultivate their own medicine.”
