Since founding Illinois News Joint, I have appeared on several podcasts. I do zero prep work before the podcast but try to answer every question asked until the host stops asking. Recently, I appeared on the Green Out Podcast for the longest podcast I’ve appeared on to date. For 2.5 hours, I chatted with Green Out Podcast host, Seth Green, about numerous aspects of the Illinois cannabis industry and Illinois News Joint.
The full podcast can be found on YouTube and Spotify. Green also broke the podcast up into two episodes, which can be found here for Part 1 and here for Part 2. Green, a former dispensary employee, produces the podcast out of Charleston, Illinois, and has been using his industry contacts for topics ideas and to book guests.
Green’s purpose for the podcast is to highlight “great people who I am personally a fan of and whose work I am directly effected by. Anything from renowned TV editors, up-and-coming music artists, pastors who may not agree, investment analysts in the cannabis space, and robotics engineers from Tesla.”
“Highlighting those from all walks of life to try to better connect people,” Green continued. “While, of course, trying to normalize medical cannabis space one brick at a time. Just by being myself along to way . . . The goal is to get the best interaction and moments possible with my guests, which is to make them comfortable and focused on them.”
