Review: 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash by nuEra
New Illinois cannabis products are our favorite to review, and in this case, a limited edition product to boot. NuEra has come out with another bubble hash strain. The 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash is now available at nuEra retail stores. Though 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash eventually will return to Illinois menus, once out of stock, the 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash will not be back for the near future.
So I picked up a gram from nuEra Champaign on the corner of First and Green Street in Campustown, which was the first time I’d been in the relatively new retail store (usually, I visit the nuEra Urbana because its my registered medical store). While there, I also grabbed an eighth of nuEra’s Orange Velvet Underground flower to go with the bubble hash because I knew I’d mostly be mixing the bubble hash with flower in my bowl and bongs. I figured the Orange Velvet Underground would be a good terpene profile to mix with the 10th Planet R1.

The 10th Planet R1 strain, bred by Ethos Genetics, is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Planet of the Grapes R1 and the “Pluto Cut” of Quattro Kush. 10th Planet R1 took its name from the mysterious 10th Planet (a.k.a. Eris, Xena, and 2003 UB313), which was discovered by the team of Mike Brown, Chad Trujillo, and David Rabinowitz on January 5, 2005, and formally announced July 29, 2005.
The batch of bubble hash tested at 70.59% THCa, 1.77% THC, 0.20% CBDa, 2.38% CBGa, and 75.53% total cannabinoids. The most impressive number on the testing was the 7.42% total terpenes. The primary terpenes included beta-myrcene, limonene, beta-caryophyllene, a-pinene, and ocimene.

The 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash was tan with the consistency of fine grains of sand. The easy-to-handle concentrate gave off a skunk, earth, and gas aroma with back notes of sweetness.
The flavor was difficult to pinpoint because most of the time I sprinkled the bubble hash between flower to load a bowl and bong or roll a joint. When consumed with my small personal rig, though, I detected in the bubble hash more citrus, grape, and heavier gassy skunk.

The 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash hit with a quick and heavy onset in whatever form it was consumed. The head high quickly fogged my mind into unfocused thougtlock and gape outs, one of those highs that allowed mental focus to laps for hours without notice.
The body buzz also hit fast and heavy with an almost instant release of tension in my neck and shoulder. More doses added to both buzzes for true couchlock and relaxation. The buzz throughout the body came in waves and eliminated my normal cramps and aches.

And the 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash boosted my appetite better than any medication has in months. I don’t really get the munchies, but each night after heavy doses of 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash, I found myself beyond appetite booster and into true munchies for the first time in months.
Overall, the bubble hash’s versatility may be one of its best attributes. I sprinkled the bubble hash on or inside the flower for hit off pipes, bong bowls, and joints, and I dabbed with a small rig and vaporizer. I mainly medicated with the 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash when I wanted to supercharge bowls and bongs of flower and inside joints. The 10th Planet R1 Bubble Hash, for me, was a buzz booster for whenever I needed a little something stronger, especially at night, when I wanted a heavier relaxation.
