Review: Berry Gelato Disposable Vape by Realeaf Botanicals
Even as someone who spends an inordinate amount of time following Illinois cannabis brands, the Illinois Craft Showcase still hosted a few new-to-me labels. Realeaf Botanicals was one of the first I spotted. I picked up a few products to review, starting with the Berry Gelato Disposable Vape.
Realeaf Botanicals’ Berry Gelato Disposable Vape is filled with a distillate-based oil infused with botanically derived terpenes. This vape tested at 1.4% CBG, 88.83% THC, and 92.61% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 2.72% of the total weight.
Almost four inches tall but less than a half-inch thick, the long, thin rectangle was similar than most modern JUUL derived designs. There was a small visibility window at the top for tracking the remaining oil and a small light near the bottom to indicate activation. No ports or settings existed but rather a simple hit-to-activate mechanism.
The cloud was light but consistent hit-to-hit in both volume and flavor. On the palate a sweet, heavily artificial berry completely dominated the profile from inhale to exhale. The vapor was light, disappearing from the palate and the air quickly.
The effects were slow to build, taking up to a full half hour before peaking. What initially presented as a positive headchange breaking through my anxiety became a spaced-out daze. Outside of some light tightness in my eyes at the peak and some come-and-go euphoric tingles, the overall physical buzz was very light, even at high doses. Overall, the Realeaf Botanicals Berry Gelato Disposable delivered a discreet, easy to use experience with a light anytime high.
