Review: Bhang Ice Chocolate by Bedford Grow
After introducing a new product in my last review, I thought I’d go for an edible that is already well known in the cannabis world: Bhang Ice Chocolate by Bedford Grow.
The Bhang Corporation has been racking up cannabis cup awards for a decade. This ice peppermint milk chocolate came in a box with four individually packaged 25mg pieces. Because Illinois edibles cannot comprise of more than 100mg in each container, I prefer higher levels of THC for each piece.
For beginners, ten 10mg pieces are great for starting at lower doses and building up to find a comfort. But I’m going to digest 25-50mg per dose, so I prefer eating one or two 25mg pieces than multiple 10mg pieces. Four pieces per packs suits me perfect.
These edibles are made with South American milk chocolate (48% cocoa). Each piece includes a refreshing mint flavor derived from natural peppermint oils. The ingredients: cocoa butter, cocoa solids, milk solids, cannabis oil, vanilla, peppermint oil, and lecithin (sunflower). The creamy mint chocolate delivers a fantastic flavor without a hint of cannabis taste. The mint is a good change from all the other fruity edibles I’d been eating.
The Bhang Ice Chocolate is hybrid strain and delivers an even high that slowly builds for a heavy peak. I enjoyed the body buzz as much or more than the cerebral high. After eating one 25mg piece, I have been able to work and relax. After eating two 25mg pieces, I enjoyed the heavy body buzz while binging a television series.
Though I don’t often see Bhang products on the menus of the dispensaries near me, the Bhang Ice Chocolate had been on NuEra Urbana’s menu for weeks. It wasn’t until I was adding products to my cart for vacation that I noticed the Ice Chocolate on sale for $10. For the price, any 100mg THC product is worth trying. And for this product, way worth price. I would love to see more Bhang products on the dispensary menus for me to review. Bhang had several products that are not yet in Illinois dispensaries, including more edibles, topicals, pre-roll straights, tinctures, and E-liquids.
