Review: Blueberry and Pineapple Gummies by Mighty Rayne
Illinois News Joint was first introduced to Realeaf Botanicals during the Illinois Craft Showcase in September. The family-owned craft grow had just launched its Skyy and Fyre brands, including the Berry Gelato Disposable Vape and Fyre Hybrid Infused Preroll. Realeaf Botanicals recently dropped its third brand Rayne, a gummies line that includes Rayne Drops and Might Rayne. I recently picked up the Blueberry and Pineapple Mighty Rayne gummies to review.
The Mighty Rayne Blueberry gummies came as one grape Kool-Aid-colored gummy containing 100mg of THC. The macrodose gummy was 1.5 inches wide and a quarter-inch thick with no perforations for breaking the gummy into smaller dozes. The nearly translucent-yellow Pineapple gummies was the same size but contained 25mg of THC. Both gummies were coated with sugar but still had a slightly sticky feel to them.

The crunch of the sugar and softness of the gummies provided a well-blended texture. The Blueberry gummy delivered a heavy grape and berries flavor with a slight hint of cannabis that faded on the back end. The Pineapple gummy offered a blast of pineapple, tropical-citrus blend, and a sour citrus aftertaste with less of a hint of cannabis.
I would have eaten the entire Blueberry gummy at once, but I always try to review each edible at least twice for consistency. I ate three-quarter one night, then the rest of the gummy the following night. The Blueberry gummy effects were surprisingly stronger than expected. The head high relaxed my mental thoughts into wandering free or forgetting what I was doing. The body buzz anchored deep into the body core and offered waves of muscle and joint relaxation that eventually transitioned into a heavy blanket.

The Pineapple I could not stretch into two doses, so I ate the 25mg gummy all at once. I do enjoy the higher-dosed edibles, because most of the time, I don’t want to eat eight gummies at once. The Pineapple gummy delivered the same heaviness in the body but offered my head high more clarity and less sedation. Late in the buzz, both gummies boosted my appetite, and at higher doses offered more sedative effects and a solid intro into sleep.
The ingredients for both gummies included organic tapioca, syrup, organic cane sugar, water, pectin (less than 2% of organic natural flavor, color (spirulina, vegetable, and fruit juice), citric acid, sodium citrate, carbon dioxide-extracted THC distillate, and MCT oil.
