Review: Fly Away Chocolates by Zoi
One of my favorite flavors is the classic combination of mint and chocolate. I can count on one hand the number of edible products in the state that appeal to that preference, so I’m always excited to see newcomers. Craft infuser Zoi has released Fly Aways, a milk chocolate mint option I picked up to review.
Zoi Fly Away Chocolates come as a 5-pack of chocolates with 10mg of THC per piece. Each chocolate was an individually wrapped cube, just under an inch across. There were three distinct color layers: two-deep cocoa-dark chocolate on the outside, hugging a center strip of bright mint. The texture was halfway between crumbly dark chocolate and creamy milk chocolate with a distinct snap upon the first bite.

The chocolate led the flavor experience with a rich, slightly creamy cocoa note, followed by a light sweetness. There was a subtle fresh mint that accompanied the richer chocolate near the finish. Balanced throughout, the mint was clean and present without overpowering the chocolate.
Surprisingly uplifting, the chocolate started to boost my mood and energy levels within 20 minutes, hitting a peak within 40 minutes. Gregarious, playful, and talkative, I found myself ready to socialize or play with the kids after a Fly Away. The physical change was lighter, sending tingles down my spine at the peak before shifting to a subtle muscle relaxation that lasted for more than an hour.
The ingredients are sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa bean, milk, sunflower lecithin, coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, ascorbic acid, vanilla, rice protein, spirulina extract, and riboflavin.
