Review: Granddaddy Pluto Blunt by Cookies
There’s something about the blunt format that lends itself to cooler weather. Snowy day, roaring fire, long-lasting blunt; it just feels right. To help survive the arctic blast that’s been pummeling the state over the last week, I picked up a Cookies’ Grandaddy Pluto blunt from Cookies Bloomington.
Granddaddy Pluto is a hybrid cross of Gelato #33 and Triangle Kush. This 2g blunt tested at 0.98% THC, 26.53% THCa, and 28.06% total cannabinoids.

Exactly three-and-a-half inches long, this blunt came wrapped in a mocha-brown hemp paper with a blue Cookies branded cigar band marking the point where the glass tip met the flower. The open end revealed a forest-green, finely ground bud. The slow-burning hemp-based paper seemed to self-correct any small runs or canoes as the blunt burned.
The open end released light notes of diesel, lime, and heavy cream, but the aroma was dominated by the hemp paper notes of dried cedar and cacao. Once lit, a sour and tangy top note of hot diesel and lime zest hit the palate first. The richer notes of humidor-style cedar and freshly turned earth provided by the paper were longer lasting, clinging to my palate long after the blunt was finished.

Granddaddy Pluto walked the center of the indica-sativa hybrid line with a front-end cerebral uplift that left me open and motivated enough for creative work without hurting my ability to focus. The physical buzz was relief focused, knocking out some chronic back pain without distracting me from the mentally clear headspace. While the flavor profile was admittedly one dimensional, the experience was flexible enough to be suitable for any time of day.
