Review: London Pound Mints by Cresco
It’s rare that I find myself in the mood for cake. As regular readers of my reviews know, I lean into fruity terpenes and flavors most of the time, so when the craving for cake flavors hits, I have to make a stop at the dispensary. This time, I picked up London Pound Cake from Cresco at Consume Marion to indulge my sweet tooth.
London Pound Mints is an indica hybrid cross of London Pound Cake #75 and Kush Mints #11. This eighth tested at 24.1% of THCA and 24.46% total cannabinoids. Cresco listed the primary terpenes as linalool and caryophyllene.

This eighth came as several bright green flowers crisscrossed with particularly vibrant orange hairs. The trichome frost was robust and provided a picturesque shot of tiny trees covered with a light snow.
The drying process preserved the aroma and flavor well and would have been spot on if not for just a touch more residual moisture in the bud than I prefered.

The aroma was in a class itself with rich, sweet, doughy cake, heavy fresh cream, honeysuckle, and mint, accompanied by brief glimpses of black pepper and wildflowers.
The flavor of rich pound cake, honeysuckle, and mint carried through the smoke. No matter my mode of consumption (pipe, bong, joint) the cake tones carried through.

The indica genetics displayed themselves immediately, boosting my appetite and weighing my body down with a strong buzz, including a “headband” effect at my crown. My mind was calm and cleared of anxiety. After a snack (or two) I was ready to curl up in bed, a win when I’m measuring indicas.
Overall, London Pound Mints is a strong strain with a sweet leaning flavor profile and heavy hitting effects. Cresco has spent the time and cash honing this strain and the effort shows.
