Review: Mango and Cocoa Prerolls by Spliff Society
Spliff Society has come out of the gate swinging with six different preroll options on dispensary menus across Illinois. I’ve reviewed the Rose Petal and Lotus Flower as well as the Blueberry and Goji Berry. Now, I’m finishing up the new releases with Mango and Cocoa.
The Spliff Society Mango Preroll came filled with Grease Monkey, an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Gorilla Glue #4 and Cookies & Cream. This preroll tested at 0.38% Delta 9 THC, 33.91% THCa, and 34.29% total cannabinoids. The Spliff Society Cocoa preroll came filled with Jungle Canyon, a hybrid cross of Topanga Canyon OG and Jungle Cake. This preroll tested at 0.47% Delta 9 THC, 27.04% THCa, and 27.51% total cannabinoids.

Both prerolls were classic-cone shapes with a black and gold Spliff Society branded cigar band at the point where the crutch met the body. The Mango preroll was a bright canary yellow, just three-and-a-half inches long, while the deep, coffee brown Cocoa preroll was a quarter inch longer with a notably thicker paper. One small run in Cocoa had to be babysat throughout the smoke but the Mango burned evenly without issue.
The Grease Monkey in the Mango preroll came through in the tube aroma, with notes of cooking vanilla and light diesel creating a slightly sweet mix. Once lit, surprising spicy notes of clove and black pepper came through on the finish, cutting through the initial sweetness and providing a finish that clung to the palate. The Cocoa was super earthy with notes of wet moss, fresh rain petrichor, and cooking mushrooms sticking to my nostrils with every inhale from the tube. The flavor just punched up the intensity of the earthy blend with the wet moss and petrichor dominating.
Both prerolls were creepers, taking almost 20 minutes to fully deliver a peak. The Mango delivered a spaced-out physical and mental presence, putting a smile on my face, while dulling my focus as a weightless sensation relaxed my muscles. The Cocoa was much heavier, leaving me quiet and introspective with a strong weighted blanket sensation taking over my arms and legs.
