News Joint Grow Journal 82: Guava and Grapes Auto by G.O.A.T. Genetics
To follow up on the introduction to my last grow journal: I don’t always grow autoflowers, but when I do, I use them for a quick turnaround after grow breaks. This journal entry is for Guava and Grapes Auto by G.O.A.T. Genetics.
Guava and Grapes is a cross of Double Guava auto and Planet of the Grapes (Ethos Genetics). I planted one female Guava and Grapes auto seed in a three-gallon fabric pot. As with the Double Guava x Blue Zorroso Auto, the plant required little to no maintenance. I used very few nutrients during vegetation. I pruned a little at the bottom of the plant but otherwise left her alone.
During flowering, I added a little Nectar for the Gods nutrient line, SLF-100, and Fishshit and grew mostly under a BlackBird light sponsored by HLG. The buds gave off a sweet candy and grape aroma, especially in the front end. The back added more herbal and earthy notes. The pistils quickly turned bright orange, flaring in all directions.
I chopped the plant on day 86 from seed. The Guava and Grapes Auto produced a high yield. The Christmas-bulb-shaped buds were semi-dense and frosty with some bounce back to them when squeezed. I lightly trimmed the largest sugar leaves before placing the buds inside my Cool Cure by Cannatrol to dry. I dried the buds for four days and cured for four days in the Cool Cure before placing the fully trimmed buds into mason jars for further cure.
