Review: High Fructose Corn Syrup by Sol Canna
After recently reviewing three Sol Canna strains (Triangle Irene, Wedding Fritter, and Holy GMOly), I decided to pick out another strain from the same cultivator. I stopped in at Goodies Streamwood and grabbed a sample of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS).
High Fructose Corn Syrup is a slightly indica-dominant cross of GMO and OZ Kush Bx2. This batch tested at 35.87% THCs, 0.94% THC, and 37.51% total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included β-caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene, and linalool.

This eighth came as four Christmas-tree shaped buds that were colored purple, dark green, and light green. The dense buds had dark red pistils and a heavy layer of creamy-tan trichomes. The aroma from the pouch hit with garlic, kushy pine, sweet gas, citrus, and hops. The flavor matched the aroma with added notes of sour fruit and pepper.
The effects were heavy and long lasting. The head high delivered a classic stoney head high that transitions from thought wandering to thoughtlock. The stoney feeling set heavy on the crown of the head and eye sockets, silencing the worries of the day.

The body buzz started with overall tingles and a floating sensation but became warmer, heavier, and more weighted toward the end. The first half of the buzz, despite its heaviness, offered an uplifting and mood-boosting, but the last half of the buzz became more soothing and sedative, especially at the end. High Fructose Corn Syrup also consistently increased my appetite and worked well in the late afternoon or late at night before bed.
