Review: Oh Snap! Diamonds and Sauce by nuEra
While trying to keep track of a constantly expanding list of strains, I come across a lot of cake, mac, cookie, and glues on Illinois dispensary menus, so I’m interested when I find a new strain name. NuEra has recently dropped Oh Snap! as Diamonds and Sauce, and since it was my first time encountering the hybrid strain, I picked up a sample at NuEra Champaign to review.
Oh Snap! is a hybrid cross of Forbidden Fruit and Bernie Mac. This batch of concentrate tested at 1.14% THC, 89.44% THCa, and 90.58% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.43% of the total weight with limonene, β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool being the heaviest.

This gram consisted of several large diamonds covered in deeply colored, thick-flowing amber oil. The viscosity of the oil made it adhere to the diamonds easily, and it was simple to scoop out a nice sized droplet with a diamond floating inside. Similar to the last batch of diamonds and sauce I reviewed from NuEra, these large diamonds needed to be broken apart before dosing.
The aroma inside the jar was bright with notes of candied citrus peel, sweet berries, fresh peach, wildflowers, and a sharp diesel chemical note at the finish. The candied citrus peel and floral wildflowers dominated the palate from inhale to exhale, remaining very sweet the entire time.
Oh Snap! unfolded slowly, providing a clean and spacious headspace at the 30-minute mark and an overall muscle relaxation and pain relief that made physical work much easier. The mental openness made me relaxed but distractible and was best at the end of day when I could let go of the day’s worries. Overall, Oh Snap! was an easy-going anytime high with a sweet citrus heavy flavor. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
