VETGardens to host So. ILL Chill event
VETGardens, an organization dedicated to the assistance of Veteran Brothers and Sisters who are interested in the healing properties of cannabis, has scheduled a Veteran-focused cannabis-friendly even in southern Illinois. The So. ILL Chill is set for August 5 for Veterans and August 6 for Veterans and the general public.
Vet Garden’s has rented two cabins for August 5-6. August 5 is catered toward Veterans who want to arrive early from in and out of state and just chill. An attendee must be a Veteran/Caregiver to purchase limited cabin passes. First come, first reserve.
August 6 is set for a full day of activities, and day-pass tickets are open to the public. On August 6, the So. ILL Chill is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the KOA in Grayville. Tickets must be purchased by August 3. The public can secure camping spaces at the KOA in Grayville.
The 6th will be filled with games, such as corn hole, human battleship, yard jenga, lemon shake-ups, silent auctions, and much more. Breakfast and dinner will be provided with the purchase of ticket. Breakfast will be egg, sausage, and potato burritos. Dinner will be burgers, hot dogs, and chips with bottled water.
All registered Veterans in attendance receive gift bags. Interested parties can message Crystal Bates-Chappell via Facebook or Instagram @kingcloud710 or email vetgardens710@gmail.com. To learn about cannabis-friendly events in Illinois, click here.
